During the third Saturday of September every year The International Red Panda Day is celebrated all over the world. This day is dedicated to learn about these majestic species awareness, saving their habitats & possible threats. Red Pandas are much smaller than the most familiar Giant Pandas. Infact, they are not related to Giant Pandas at all. Red Pandas weigh between 12 to 20 pounds and are about the size of common house cat. These adorable mammals are found in the trees Himalayan terrain in the North- East of India. It is so famous and popular in Asia that they many cartoons and team mascots feature Red Panda. However only 10,000 red Panda are left in the wild. Because of rampant deforestation, poaching, and illegal pet trade Red Panda is now an endangered animal.
