वैशाख का महीना है, सूरज🌅 अपनी किरणों से अग्नि बम🔥 बरसा रहे है तो ताड़ के पेड़ उसी तेज़ी से लबनी (मिट्टी का एक पात्र) में ताड़ी।
वैशाख के महीने में ताड़ के पेड़🌴 सजा दिए जाते हैं। ताड़ी निकालने वाले अच्छे से साफ़ कर के ताड़ के पेड़ के ऊपर लबनी लटका देते हैं। कभी समय मिले तो ताड़ के पेड़ पर लगे लबनी को देखिएगा, बड़ा सुंदर और मोहक लगता है।
ऐसा प्रतीत होता है की जैसे कोई अनबोलता बच्चा अपनी माँ से लिपटा हो और माँ जिस तरह लोरी सुना के बच्चे को शांत करती है वैसे ही ताड़ का पेड़ उस लबनी में ताड़ी भरकर उसे शांत रखता है।
कहते हैं कि,
वैशाख के महीने का ताड़ी सबसे ठीक और उत्तम माना जाता है।
मतलब ई की,
वैशाख में अगर ताड़ी न पिए तो फिर जीकर का किए मरदेs
ताड़ी के प्रेम💓 में लबनी के आस-पास मक्खी, मधुमक्खी, बिरनी (बर्रे) सब आस-पास मंडराते हैं और मंडराते हुए अपनी जान तक दे देते हैं जैसे चाँद के पीछे चकोर अपनी गर्दन तोड़ देता है। उसे छानकर पीने वाले ऐसे पीते हैं कि पूछिए मत। पीने वाले कहते हैं कि जब कीड़े-मकोड़े इस रस के इतने दीवाने हैं इसका मतलब कुछ तो बात है।
अब समझिए ताड़ी पीने वालों पर क्या बीतती होगी इस महीने।
इस महीने एक पेड़ लगभग रोज़ 10-10 लीटर ताड़ी देते हैं। सावन या भादो में जिस तरह नदियाँ उफान मारती हैं उसी तरह वैशाख के महीने में लबनी (मिट्टी का पात्र) भर-भर के उफान मारने लगता है।
सुबह-सुबह ताड़ी पीने से पेट और लिवर के लिए फ़ायदेमंद होता है तो वही अगर इसे शाम को पिया जाए तो मेहनतकश लोगों के लिए यह हल्की और रूहानी नशे का काम करती है।
कई लोग ताड़ी पीकर तांडव तो कई यहाँ तक कि कत्थक और भरतनाट्यम तक भी करने लगते हैं, गाँव में रहने वाले लोग इन सब प्रदर्शनों को ख़ूब क़रीब से देखे और जानते होंगे।
वैशाख में ताड़ी की गद्दी गाँव के चौराहों पे सजा करती थी, अब भी होती ही है चोरी-छुपे। बस शासनादेश की ख़ानापूर्ति के लिए।
मुग़ल शासकों में जहांगीर ख़ूब ताड़ी का सेवन करता था, ताड़ी में अफ़ीम डाल के। यह सोने पर सुहागा का काम करता हो, शायद.....।🤔
तभी तो क़िले के बाहर लगे जहांगीरी घंटे को कितना भी जनता बजा ले पर जहांगीर को घंटा फ़र्क़ नहीं पड़ता था। जहांगीर ताड़ी के नशे में मतवाला होकर खर्राटे ले रहा होता था और जनता का क्या है, वह तब भी घंटा बजाती थी आज भी बजा रही और आगे भी बजाती रहेगी।
सत्ता तो हर समय ही नशे में रहा है। कभी शराब के तो कभी भांग-धतूरे के तो कभी ताड़ी के नशे में।
ख़ैर,
ताड़ी अच्छे-अच्छे लोग पीते हैं। कोई सबके सामने पीता है तो कई लोग शाम को छिपा के, क्योंकि ताड़ी के लबनी और गिलास के बीच सामाजिक प्रतिष्ठा जो आ के बैठ जाती है।
यह तो ताड़ का रस मात्र है। वैसे भी जीवन में रस ख़त्म होते जा रहा है। बाक़ी वैशाख और ताड़ी का रस और आनंद बना रहे।
नोट-कहीं से मत समझिएगा कि हम ताड़ी पीने या न पीने के पक्ष में हैं। खाना हो या फिर पीना आपका एकदम व्यक्तिगत और निजी मामला है।
हमको न तो किसी के रसोई में देखना है न किसी के हाँड़ी में झांकना है, बुझे!!!😊

Palm trees🌴 are decorated in the month of Vaishakh. The toddy extractors clean it well and hang the labni on the palm tree. If you get time, you will see the Labni on the palm tree, it looks very beautiful and attractive.
It is as if a naughty child is clinging to her mother and as the mother pacifies the child by reciting a lullaby, similarly a palm tree keeps her calm by filling toddy in that labni.

Toddy in the month of Vaishakh is considered to be the best and the best.
Meanse,
If you do not drink toddy in Vaishakh, then you will not live better.
In the love💓 of toddy, the fly, the bee, the birni (barre) all hover around the labni and while cruising, they give their lives, like the chakor breaks its neck behind the moon. Those who drink it after filtering drink it in such a way that don't ask. The drinkers say that when insects and insects are so crazy about this juice, it means something is wrong.
Now understand what will happen to the toddy drinkers this month.
This month a tree gives about 10-10 liters of toddy every day. In the same way in the month of Vaishakh, the labani (earthen pot) starts swelling up in full swing, just as the rivers swell in the month of Sawan or Bhado.
Drinking toddy early in the morning is beneficial for the stomach and liver, so if it is drunk in the evening, it acts as a mild and spiritual intoxicant for the working people.
Many people drink toddy and start doing Tandava and many even Kathak and Bharatnatyam, people living in the village must have seen and know all these performances very closely.
In Vaishakh, the toddy pad used to decorate the village squares, even now it still happens secretly. Just to fulfill the mandate.
Among the Mughal rulers, Jahangir used to consume toddy a lot, by putting opium in the toddy. It works as a icing on the gold, maybe.....
That's why no matter how much the people rang the Jahangir bell outside the fort, but Jahangir did not care about the bell. Jahangir was snoring after getting drunk with toddy and what about the public, he used to ring the bell even then, it is still ringing today and will continue to play it.
Power has always been drunk. Sometimes in the intoxication of alcohol, sometimes of cannabis-datura and sometimes of toddy.
Well,
Good people drink toddy. Some drink in front of everyone, while many hide in the evening, because social prestige which comes and sits between toddy's lobani and glass.
This is just palm juice. Anyway, the juice in life is running out. Remaining vaishakh and toddy juice and enjoyment.
Note- Do not think from anywhere that we are in favor of drinking toddy or not. Whether it is food or drink is your totally personal and personal matter.
