Instructions :

Answer eight questions, selecting three each from Section-I and Section II and two from Section-III.
Candidates are required to give their answers in their own words as far as practicable.
Parts of the same question must be answered together and must not be interposed between answers to other questions.

खण्ड-1 एवं खण्ड-II में से तीन-तीन प्रश्न तथा खण्ड-III से दो प्रश्नों का चयन करते हुए कुल आठ प्रश्नों के उत्तर दें।
परीक्षार्थी यथासम्भव अपने शब्दों में ही उत्तर दें।
एक ही प्रश्न के विभिन्न भागों के उत्तर अनिवार्य रूप से एक साथ ही लिखे जाएँ तथा उनके बीच में अन्य प्रश्नों के उत्तर न लिखे जाएँ।

9. (a) In a class of 50 students, the average marks obtained by them in a test were 40. Pass marks were 30. The average marks of successful students were 45 and those of failed ones were 20. What percentage of students failed ?
(b) The audited financial results of a company for the years 2001-02 and 2002-03 are given below:
(i) Calculate the net profit and their percentage of total income earned by the company in each year.
(ii) How much percentage of profit in the year 2002-03 will be increased / decreased as compared to the year 2001-02?
(क) 50 छात्रों की एक कक्षा में, एक टेस्ट में छात्रों द्वारा प्राप्त किए गए औसत अंक 40 थे। उत्तीर्ण अंक 30 थे। सफल छात्रों के औसत अंक 45 एवं असफल छात्रों के 20 थे। बताइए कि कितने प्रतिशत छात्र असफल रहे।
(ख) एक कंपनी के वर्ष 2001-02 एवं 2002-03 के लेख्य वित्तीय परिणाम नीचे दिए गए हैं :
(i) कंपनी के सकल लाभ एवं प्रत्येक वर्ष कंपनी द्वारा अर्जित कुल आय के प्रतिशत की गणना कीजिए।
(ii) वर्ष 2001-02 की तुलना में, वर्ष 2002-03 में सकल लाभ कितने प्रतिशत ज्यादा या कम होगा?
10. Study the data given in the following subdivided bar diagrams showing expenditure by item of Family X and Family Y. Answer the questions given below:
(a) Find the percentage increase in clothing of Family Y compared to Family X.
(b) Determine the family whose total percentage of clothing and education is maximum.
(c) Which family has lowest percentage difference between house rent and miscellaneous?
(d) Find overall average percentage of cost of food taking together both the families.
नीचे दिए गए उप-विभाजित दंड आरेखों का अध्ययन कीजिए, जिनमें X परिवार व Y परिवार के मर्दों के खर्च दर्शाए गए हैं। निम्न प्रश्नों के उत्तर दीजिए :
(क) परिवार X की तुलना में परिवार Y की कपड़े के खर्च में हुई प्रतिशत वृद्धि ज्ञात कीजिए ।
(ख) किस परिवार का कपड़ा और शिक्षा का कुल प्रतिशत खर्च अधिकतम है?
(ग) किस परिवार का मकान किराया और विविध के बीच का प्रतिशत न्यूनतम है?
(घ) दोनों परिवारों को एक साथ लेकर भोजन के खर्च का व्यापक प्रतिशत माध्य निकालिए।
11. A readymade garments company prepares cloths for male (X), female (Y) and children (Z). The production of the cloths over a period of six years has been expressed in the following chart. Study the chart and answer the following questions based on it:

(a) For which year, the percentage of rise/fall in production from the previous year is the minimum for the cloths of female?
(b) For whose garments the average annual production is maximum in the given period?
(c) What was the percentage decline in the production of cloths of children in 2010 as compared to the production in 2007?
तैयार वस्त्र बनाने वाली एक कंपनी पुरुष (X), महिला (Y) तथा बालकों (Z) के वस्त्र बनाती है। छः वर्ष के दौरान बनाए गए वस्त्रों का उत्पादन नीचे दिए गए लेखाचित्र में प्रदर्शित किया गया है। इसका अध्ययन कीजिए तथा इस पर आधारित निम्नलिखित प्रश्नों के उत्तर दीजिए:

(क) किस वर्ष महिलाओं के वर्षों के उत्पादन में पिछले वर्ष की तुलना में न्यूनतम प्रतिशत उत्थान / गिरावट दर्ज की गई?
(ख) दिए हुए समय में किसके वस्त्रों का औसत वार्षिक उत्पादन सर्वाधिक रहा?
(ग) बालकों के वस्त्रों के उत्पादन में 2007 के सापेक्ष 2010 में कितने प्रतिशत की गिरावट दर्ज की गई?
12. (a) The following pie chart shows the percentage distribution of the expenditure incurred in publishing a book. Study the chart and answer the following questions based on it:

(i) If for a certain quantity of books the publisher has to pay 50,000 as printing cost, then what will be the amount of royalty to be paid for these books?
(ii) The price of the book is marked 20% above the CP. If the marked price of the book is 280, then what is the cost of the paper used in a single copy of the book?
(iii) Promotion cost of the book is how much percent less than royalty?
(b) Read the following information :
In an opinion survey regarding a proposed civil measure to be introduced, altogether 2878 persons took part of which 1652 were males. 1136 persons voted against the proposal of which 679 were males. 1395 persons voted for the proposed measure. 145 females were undecided in their opinion.
(i) Put the above information in a proper statistical table.
(ii) Calculate the percentage of females among those voting for the proposal.
(iii) Calculate the percentage of those voting for the proposal among the females.
(क) नीचे दिए गए पाई चार्ट में एक पुस्तक प्रकाशित करने के खर्च के प्रतिशत वितरण का पता चलता है। चार्ट का अध्ययन कीजिए और उसके आधार पर निम्नलिखित प्रश्नों के उत्तर दीजिए :
(i) अगर कुछ निश्चित पुस्तकों के लिए, प्रकाशक को ₹50,000 मुद्रण लागत के रूप में भुगतान करना पड़ता है, तो इन पुस्तकों के लिए रॉयल्टि का भुगतान कितना होगा?
(ii) पुस्तक की कीमत लागत मूल्य पर 20% ऊपर चिह्नित की गई है। यदि पुस्तक का अंकित मूल्य ₹280 हो, तो पुस्तक की एक प्रति में प्रयुक्त कागज की लागत क्या है?
(iii) पुस्तक के प्रमोशन की लागत, रॉयल्टि से कितने प्रतिशत कम है?
(ख) निम्नलिखित जानकारी को पढ़िए :
चालू किए जाने वाले प्रस्तावित सिविल उपाय के संबंध में एक मत सर्वेक्षण में कुल 2878 लोगों ने भाग लिया, जिनमें 1652 पुरुष थे। 1136 लोगों ने प्रस्ताव के विरोध में वोट दिए, जिनमें 679 पुरुष थे। 1395 लोगों ने प्रस्तावित उपाय के पक्ष में वोट दिए। 145 महिलाएँ अपने मत में अनिश्चित थीं।
(i) उपरोक्त जानकारी को योग्य सांख्यिकीय सारणी में रखिए।
(ii) प्रस्ताव के पक्ष में वोट देने वाली महिलाओं की प्रतिशतता का परिकलन कीजिए।
(iii) महिलाओं में प्रस्ताव के पक्ष में वोट देने वालों की प्रतिशतता का परिकलन कीजिए।
