शिक्षक वृत्तिक विकास की आवश्यकता
एक शिक्षक को अपनी भूमिका की बेहतर तरीके से निर्वहन के लिए वृत्तिक विकास की आवश्यकता पड़ती है। साथ ही सफलतापूर्वक कार्य करने के लिए शिक्षकों को विभिन्न भूमिकाओं का भी निर्वहन करना पड़ता है जिसके लिए उन्हें वृत्तिक विकास की आवश्यकता महसूस होती है।
कक्षा-कक्ष में एक शिक्षक की भूमिकाएं निम्नलिखित होती हैं:-
1. कक्षा-कक्ष में भूमिका का निर्वहन (Discharge of the role in the classroom):- वर्ग का संचालन ही शिक्षक की वास्तविक कार्यशाला है। वर्ग-कक्ष में अपने Learning Plan के आधार पर शिक्षक अपने विषयगत समझ को प्रस्तुत करता है। वह शैक्षणिक कौशलों, TLMs, Micro Teaching के आधार पर बच्चों में समझ को विकसित करने का प्रयास करता है। इसके साथ ही, शिक्षक में आवश्यक जानकारी के साथ-साथ साकारात्मक अभिवृत्ति तथा मूल्यांकन तकनीकी ज्ञान का होना आवश्यक है। इन गुणों को समाहित कर शिक्षक अपनी वृत्तिक के साथ न्याय सकता है।
2. चेतना सत्र एवं अन्य गतिविधियों का आयोजन (Organizing consciousness sessions and other activities):- कक्षा प्रबंधन के अलावा शिक्षक सुबह की सभा में चेतना-सत्र का आयोजन कराता है। वह मीना-मंच तथा बाल-संसद के माध्यम से चेतना सत्र में समाचारवाचन का प्रस्तुतीकरण, भाषण, Thought of the day, व्यायाम, योग, ध्यान, शारीरिक प्रशिक्षण आदि कराता है जिससे की छात्रों का सर्वांगीण विकास सुनिश्चित हो पाता हैं।
इसके अलावा विद्यालय में विभिन्न तरह के गतिविधियों यथा खेल-कूद, प्रतियोगिता, वाद-विवाद प्रतियोगिता, चित्रकला, समूहगान, गीत-संगीत, विचारगोष्ठी इत्यादि का आयोजन करता है। ये सभी आयोजन सफलतापूर्वक किए जा सके इसके लिए भी शिक्षक को वृत्तिक विकास को आवश्यकता पड़ती है। इसके माध्यम से संगठन एवं प्रबन्धन क्षमता का विकास होता है।
3. विद्यालय से बाहर आयोजित शैक्षिक क्रियाकलाप (Educational activities organized outside the school):- ये सभी क्रियाकलाप विद्यार्थियों के सर्वांगीण विकास के लिए आवश्यक है। क्षेत्रिय भ्रमण, शैक्षिक यात्रा का आयोजन, समुदाय में उपलब्ध संसाधन की पहचान एवं शैक्षिक प्रक्रिया में उपयोग, समुदाय के साथ बेहतर सम्बन्ध कायम रखने का प्रयास, इत्यादि। कार्य भी शिक्षक प्रशिक्षक कार्यक्रमों में इन कार्यों में बच्चों के विकास में महत्त्व एवं उपयुक्त तकनीक की चर्चा नहीं होगी तो इन कार्यों के निष्पादन में शिक्षकों को काफी परेशानी होगी। अतएव वृत्तिक विकास के लिए यह आवश्यक है कि शिक्षकों में उपरोक्त कार्यों के बेहतर निष्पादन की क्षमता विकसित हो।
4. अभिभावकों/समुदाय से सम्बन्ध (Relationship with parents/community):- शिक्षक के ऊपर यह भी जबावदेही होती है कि उनका अभिभावकों के साथ बेहतर सम्बन्ध स्थापित हो ताकि वे छात्रों को अधिगम के क्रम में आनेवाली कठिनाईयों तथा बच्चों के शैक्षिक स्तरों से अवगत करते हुए स्तरोन्नयन (upgradation) की योजना बना सकें। साथ ही अपव्यय एवं अवरोधन की समस्या के बिना 'अभिभावकों' के सहयोग के हल नहीं की जा सकती। छात्रों के सर्वांगीण विकास हेतु नियमित रूप से अध्यापक अभिभावक गोष्ठी का आयोजन भी आवश्यक है। अतएव वृत्तिक विकास के क्रम में इसकी जानकारी शिक्षक के लिए अनिवार्य है। बेहतर समुदायिक सम्बन्ध कैसे विकसित हो सकते हैं, इसके लिए भी वृत्तिक विकास की आवश्यकता पड़ती हैं।
स्पष्ट है कि शिक्षक अपने कार्य द्वारा समाज में बेहतर स्थान बना सके। बच्चों के सृजनशीलता विकसित करने की प्रक्रिया अपनाने के साथ-साथ ज्ञान-सृजन की प्रक्रिया अपना सके। अभिभावकों एवं समुदाय के साथ बेहतर समन्वय स्थापित कर बच्चों के सर्वांगीण विकास हेतु प्रयास करने के लिए आवश्यक वांछित दक्षताओं एवं कौशलों की संप्राप्ति कर सके इसके लिए भी वृत्तिक विकास की आवश्यकता पड़ती है।
Need for teacher professional development
A teacher needs professional development to discharge his role in a better way. Also, in order to work successfully, teachers also have to perform various roles for which they feel the need for professional development.
Following are the roles of a teacher in the classroom:-
1. Discharge of the role in the classroom:- The operation of the class is the real workshop of the teacher. On the basis of his learning plan in the classroom, the teacher presents his thematic understanding. He tries to develop understanding in children based on pedagogical skills, TLMs, Micro Teaching. Along with this, it is necessary to have positive attitude and evaluation technical knowledge along with necessary information in the teacher. By incorporating these qualities, the teacher can do justice to his professional.
2. Organizing consciousness sessions and other activities:- Apart from class management, the teacher organizes consciousness-session in the morning meeting. Through Meena-Manch and Bal-Sansad, he provides presentation of news reading, speech, Thought of the Day, exercise, yoga, meditation, physical training etc. in the consciousness session through which all-round development of the students is ensured.
Apart from this, various activities like sports, competition, debate competition, painting, group song, song-music, seminar etc. are organized in the school. For all these events to be conducted successfully, the teacher also needs professional development. Through this organization and management ability is developed.
3. Educational activities organized outside the school:- All these activities are necessary for the all round development of the students. Field visits, organizing educational trips, identifying resources available in the community and utilizing them in the educational process, trying to maintain a better relationship with the community, etc. In teacher-training programs, if there is no discussion of the importance and appropriate techniques in the development of children in these tasks, then teachers will have a lot of trouble in performing these tasks. Therefore, for professional development, it is necessary that teachers should develop the ability to perform the above tasks better.
4. Relation with parents/community:- It is also the responsibility of the teacher to establish a better relationship with the parents so that they are aware of the difficulties faced by the students in the course of learning and the educational levels of the children. Make a plan for upgradation while doing it. Also, the problem of wastage and stagnation cannot be solved without the co-operation of the 'parents'. For the all-round development of the students, it is also necessary to organize teacher-parent meetings regularly. Therefore, in the course of professional development, it is essential for the teacher to know about it. How better community relations can be developed also requires professional development.
It is clear that the teacher can make a better place in the society through his work. To adopt the process of developing the creativity of children as well as adopt the process of knowledge-creation. Professional development is also required for achieving the desired competencies and skills required to make efforts for the all-round development of the children by establishing better coordination with the parents and the community.
